Wink Anyone in WV or VA?

Hello Orchid Geeks. I am an Orchid Newbie.

I am preparing for my first orchids. Trying to get things set up before I bring home my first victims, er .... orchids. I want them to have a happy home, not come here to be killed with kindness and ignorance. Been reading lots of posts here and on the web. Getting quite confused. So, I posted some questions in the Newbie Questions section. Can't wait for some responses.

I wonder if there are any geeks living in the Northern VA or Eastern WV area. I'd like your help in finding a nursery with orchid knowledge and supplies. I'm looking for a place where I can go to purchase supplies and my first orchid. Or maybe someone has a favorite website for supplies.

Hi and welcome. I know of a few places online if you are interested. I can pm you a list if you like.

They take on the form of little birds, of lizards, of insects, a man, a woman, sometimes like a clown who excites our laughter. They represent the image of a lazy tortoise, a melancholy toad, an agile, ever-chattering monkey. Nature has formed orchid flowers in such a way that, unless they make us laugh, they surely excite our greatest admiration." Jacob Breynius

Hello Brookn,

I would appreciate a list from you.

Kinda new at this Forum thing. Please excuse my clumbsiness. If you "pm" me a list, I'm guessing I can read it by clicking in the upper right corner on Private Messages?

Thank you,
DonkeyMom
