 Hello from Folsom, CA Hi everyone! I just wanted to introduce myself to all of you. I am beginner orchid grower, and am collecting as many different kinds as I can to figure out which ones "agree" with me and where I live. So far I have one large Cymbidium, two Phals, two Miltonias (one seedling, one blooming), three dendrobiums (two I think are the "antelope" type, and one is a mounted aggregatum), one Masdevallia, one Paph, and two Oncidiums. I am probably not pluralizing those correctly..... My given name is Andria, but m3phist023 is my "handle". Good to meet you all!      |

| Welcome Andria - You will find lots of very helpful folks here. You have been very brave to start with so many different types of orchids; I applaude you! I am in So Calif and grow my cymbidiums outside and they love it, making great patio plants. Ask lots of questions and we will do our best to help you out!

| Hi, Andria. Welcome in! Wow, you were brave to jump right in. I bet your thumb is very green already. One of the great things about this forum is you can talk to people in your same area about weather, humidity, etc... who knows they could be your neighbor! You'll learn lots

| Yes! I've driven by Folsom Prison! Maybe not something to brag about, but with that there we certainly get good coverage by the local police..... I did sort of dive in head-first. When I'm out and about, if I see an orchid I like, I pick it up. I would like to get another Paph (I love those spotty leaves!) and a Cattleya, though I may not have enough light inside. As soon as I can post pics, I will! I do like to photograph my children.... |

| Hi Andria. Welcome to the forum. I'm about one hour, or so, away from you. Since I've lived (for a year) in Sacramento, your weather is similar to where I am. Cold in winter; hot and dry in summer. I look forward to seeing pics of your 'chids.
