eh! from Kamloops, BC

hello all,

discovered the forum today at work, looks exciting!

i have had 2 Cymbidiums for approximately 2 months (since February), and they're still alive. i got them at a sale price, they looked ready to die, but i figured at $5 each, i'd have expensive mulch. so far so good!

here is a picture of my plants, the window they are in is south facing, narrow, privacy glass (not tinted, just refracted) and probably gives 45-60 minutes of sunshine. our climate here is quite sunny, very hot summers, and dry all year (<30% humidity; we are semi-arid) . i have some problems and concerns with them, i'll make a relevant post elsewhere.

it's practically a desert, orchids are surely not native here! maybe thinking of vancouver area, about 4 hours west of me. temperate rainforest there, i'm sure would be awesome for orchids!
