Mrs Cymbidium is on a distinguished road
Thumbs down Hi all,

Like Mr Speciosum (my husband) I now live in beautiful Tasmania - inland somewhere from the Central Coast.
I like most orchids, but specialise in cymbidiums (or - bloody grass, as Mr Speciosum says ) and masdavelias. I also have 1 slipper orchid and a couple of draculas. I try to steer away from crosses, but do have a couple.
What orchids is everyone else into....do many people agree with the 'grass' scenario for cymbids?

Dear Robyn,

Melbourne here. I grow mostly slippers, mostly Paphs. My favorite Paphs are the Brachypetalum types and the black Maudiae types but I also like multi-florals and Chinese Paphs. I also grow a lot of Coelogyne. I am not part of the "bloody gr**** camp but I don't have very many Cymbids, only about 15.

Welcome to the forum!

My husband just had a good laugh when he found out I actually replied to you using my reply I dare say you go for Carlton in the Football. What orchids do you have over there?
