Well I just joined and am looking forward to leaning all i can about orchids. I have accumulated 16 orchids over the last 3 years. Went to an orchid show in Madison WI, bought 3 pafs and that was it, I WAS HOOKED. Have returned each successive year and purchased more. All are doing well except one and i'll post that problem when i figure out how to upload the photo to better explain my plight. Looking forward to meeing everyone and sharing with you about my new "passion" the orchid.

Welcome to the forum. I am new too, just about two days in here.

I know the feeling of going overboard.. I had just one Phal. last sept and now I have almost 50 (many different species).. I neep help!!.. Just joking.

Hi Pikevi, welcome to you too! I thought I was bad I got one phal in Dec. for my birthday and now I have 9 (of different kinds too). I bought a few inexpensive ones that aren't in bloom and am really looking forward to getting them to bloom. Although, I know I will need a lot of help along the way.

Looking forward to reading and posting to acquire better expertise. I love my orchids but they all seem to need specific care. I just need to be sure i'm doing what's best. I've lost one in the last 3 years and have one now that doesn't seem healthy.

Most of mine are inexpensive ones too. But this year I have started to purchase the plants from vendors who are registered with the provincial orchid society. Quite expensive for tiny plants.
