Hi Anton,
Terrestrials mainly. I like Green hoods (Pterrostylis) alot. They are very charming. But I will collect just about anything as long as they are Aussie natives.
Cheers
Ed

Hi Ed,

I love Pterostylus as well. I'd recommend looking into the Australian Native Orchid Society (ANOS). They do exclusively Aussie native species and their hybrids. They publish a journal called "The Orchadian" which contains the latest on recent discoveries, etc. Visit them at anos.org.au. Happy Growing!

There's a great paperback called "Native Orchids of Southern Australia", not SA, but Australia wide, below a certain parallel. This is a great hand book to take bush on walking expiditions.

I bought a copy for my wife last year as she has decided to join my passion (orchids) but with natives. She has some Hoodeds and some Donkey Ears and another terrestrial, which I can't remember at the moment.

KMarch, I have mentioned this to Ed before, but I have a friend who is in that society and has been flasking natives for over 30 years if you are interested.

You can find Kevin on the internet under Western Orchids, he does occaisionally pop up here on the Forum when he has the time, which, if you saw his set up, you would see he does not have much of.

Anton,

Yes, I'm definitely interested. i've been judging in the AOC for almost 2 years now, maybe i have met him. concerning Aussie Natives, I'm partial to the terrestrials, esp. the greenhoods, and the smaller Dendrobiums like D. tetragonum and others.

i'd appreciate any info you care to pass on.

Cheers
