Hi I have grown orchids for a few years now, I am a member of an orchid society.
My orchids are mainly softcane dendrobiums (nobilis), catteleyas and (Blc's) phalaenanthe dendrobiums and phalaneopsis.

I have no frost here and it can get very hot in summer (42c). I grow in a shade house with fixed roof. I do have a warm frame with light and a fan for winter for my warm orchids phalllie's and phalaenanthe as they can flower here during winter and need a minimum of 15c to grow well and flower.

It sounds like ideal conditions... I live in Philadelphia, and growing outdoors is not even an option! Welcome to the forum!

What I'd give for NO frost! Right now I hope I never see another snow flake.
