Waterlily is on a distinguished road
Complete and total newbie! <--------

Ive already posted a bit, so if you've read any of my threads then you should know a bit about me.

I found this site will looking for some help for my desperate looking orchids. I ordered them from an ebay seller, recieved them about a week and a half ago, and since then they have been loosing leaves and I lost a flower spike on the dendrobium.

Anyway, I am still so excited to have them! I have 3, and they are my first ever orchids.

One is a lady's slipper. It has a light green flower, with the top part bing white and green striped.

My dendrobium is supposed to have a pretty green and pink bloom.

The phal is called "gold coin" and it is supposed to be a gold color with some sort of pattern ( I think),

Im glad to have found this forum and had the opportunity to communicate with so many knowledgeable people. I have learned so much already.

There is only so much research a person can do, but I love forums because you can talk to people with personal experience. That is much better than searching for hours on end for information sometimes (which of course, I do probably daily anyway, lol).

Well in case you are interested, maybe Ill tell you a little about myself.

My passion is gardening. I love plants. All kinds are so wonderful. I love my goldfish and I love ponds and water gardening.

I work at the local greenhouses here who supply plants (mostly tropicals, houseplants, etc) to local florists and retail nurseries.

My husband just got out of the army, and we are renting a home here in VA until our home in TX sells. Once it sells, we plan on buying a house in WV.

I plan on opening up my own retail nursery once we get settled. I want to sell perrennials, trees, shrubs, landscaping items, and water garden plants and supplies.

I have pets. My dog, two cats, lots of fat, cute goldfish, and 3 chickens. We used to have more in TX, but we couldnt bring them all with us.

Anyway, that's the short version of "me". Exciting......

Nice to meet you all!

Waterlily, welcome to the forum. By the time you open your own nursery, you'll probably be selling orchids, too!

My words exactly...I still don't know what I'm going to do when my orchid hobby gets out of hands...but I'm still at least a few years from that. Welcome to the forum, Waterlilly.
