Hello from San Francisco bay area

Hello everyone.

My name is Armando and I have only being growing orchids for about a year. I have eight plants 2 brassia, Dendrobium Phalaenopsis, Laelia, Odontoglossum, Oncidium, paphiopedilum, and a Phalaenopsis.

A gift from a friend, my first orchid was the Laelia, Dialaelia Snowflake. Although the Orginal leaila died when it was given to me it was growing a keiki so I still have a part of that plant. Also My Odontoglossum crispum is growing its first flower spike, this will be the first orchid in my collection that I've had rebloom. I’m very excited! If any one has any tips or anything at all message me.

Welcome to the forum Armando. I've noticed there are a number of SF people on the forum. Look forward to hearing more from you and seeing a pic or two of your orchids as they bloom. In case you are not aware of it, there is a VERY LARGE orchid show right in your back yard in February - check out this link http://www.orchidsanfrancisco.org/poe.htm - mike

Welcome to the forum, Armando!

I've been to the annual Pacific Orchid Expo the last two years and recommend that you attend it, too. There are lots to see and learn...and buy! Just remember to get there as early as you can due to the parking situation (as always the problem in SF).

I look forward to reading your posts and seeing pictures of your collection.
