| Hello, desertgal Thanks to your attention for me. You mentioned the city Cruzeiro do Sul, and I think that you refer about one located in the amazon region, in the Acre Stat, to border on Peru. Is it right? All the enormous amazon region there are forests with great variebility of flora. The Acre isn't the most representative area to find orchids. I think that it's possible find micro or some terrestrial orchids. In this region, I know that has Campylocentrum micranthum, Rodriguesia lanceolata, Sobralia sessilis, some Encyclia, Oncidium baueri, Onc.nanum, many and many little orchids like Octomeria, Pleurothallis, Notylia. And the Acre is habitat of the beautiful Cattleya luteola and Acacallis cyanea - the blue orchid. They are find in regions of very difficult access, in the deep of the wet forests. Well, thanks and it's a pleasure to be here. Fátima Caires mfcaires@terra.com.br São Paulo/SP Brasil |

| Yes, that is the city. I spent a day traveling by small boat on the Jurara river but the foliage was so heavy right along the river that you couldn't see very far. Neverless, it was the adventure of a lifetime. |
