Hi Sueian, Simple advice is to read the posts in Culture; usually many dealing with questions on watering, fertilser usage, how much light your Phals need, temperature requirements and much more. I have gained lots of good stuff this way. Welcome to the club!! Bill

Hi Sueian
Like you I'm completely new to orchids, having two phals since August, and I also live in Devon, UK. I had a question which I posted on newbies questions and was really pleased with the advice I got.
As we'll be experiencing similar temperatures and conditions for our phals we may be able to help each other.
Hope it goes well for you
Lin

What a small world. I'm originally from Plymouth also. I moved around overeseas quite a bit and finally settled in the US. I'm now in Florida on the east coast - just love it. I've been growing orchids for a few years now and have about 50. Any more I think would overwhelm me.
