Sick Orchid was given to me to nurse-help

Anyone who knows me knows about my problem. My absolute love for orchids! Oneday about eight weeks ago my postman brings to me an Oncidium Sharry Baby. Now I was thrilled cuz my parents named me after that silly song of the sixties. I have been doing my best with her and she is now in bloom! The blooms are small and I still have yellow on some of my leaves. How can I help her better?? Need some advice, thanks for any suggestions.

It could be the leaves are just doing its natural senescence...or have you checked the roots..I find oncidiums are thirsty ones, they like being moist, maybe step up on the watering. How's the lighting, they like bright light but not direct sun..so check how it goes. But you have blooms..hurray!

It is the normal aging of the leaves as it dies.

Yeah I have repotted mine when I first got it this February. It is laden with blooms and it did not pout..just kept on blooming. I do see it likes very good air movement and water. Just be gentle as you loosen the roots, wet the roots to make it more pliable. But do not pot them too big a container, they like it snug.

I even have to trim some roots, the old media was too packed in, and it did not miss a beat with its blooms. Love that chocolatey scent!

That's ok It happens to me as well when I use my phone for uploading. So just observe first your orchid..it may or may not need repotting.

Great job on the second spike, and I think that looks like a healthy Sharry!
