Looks happy!
Any fotos of the blooms?
Dare I ask with a name like bluebird if the blooms are blue?
Are there any blue Orchids? That is my girlfriends favorite color.

He hasn't decided to let loose with the blooms yet. I think it is going to be a while. And from what I have seen on the net, it looks a lot like a neo. falcata with blue tips to the petals and sepals. It really did look blue to me. And they stay so little!! I promise to post as the blooms emerge.

I have one I got in bloom last year and it is in spike now. I think you will like the blooms.

I wasn't careful enough with mine when spritzing I got some on the leaves when spritzing the roots. Killed my spike and got crown rot : ( well learned from my mistake. Plan on getting another one soon and won't do that again (when spritzing) : /
Your going to like Jonada : )

Emmaye, I'm surprised you had trouble with your plant when watering like that. I've had one since last April...I just run it and all my neos under the faucet and the whole thing gets wet...never a problem.

Well, except for the fact that I accidently knocked all but the very bottom bloom off the spike. Duh!

Believe me I was surprised too. I had researched it when I got it and its said they grow at a tipped angle to prevent water from getting trapped in their leaf joint and causing rot. Mine was at a pretty good angle and only spritzed the plant and watering I put its basket in a bowl submerged not the leaves soOo I don't know.... Had mine for 4 months. The first thing that died was its flower spike and the crown rot started there. Used physan 20 cinnamon cut back the rotted part and it still eventually died. : (

I don't know for sure... But maybe the flower spike became the vulnerable point. And this occurred. Maybe someone will come along and slove the mystery.....

I received a piece started in a small basket last year from Davetheorchiaddict. I have not noted any spike action yet. It is hanging with the Vandas.
And by the way I've not seen Dave on in a while. I hope all is well.
