Arika's Den Cathy Beck

Finally posting on my little Cathy Beck! When I first got it, it had only the one large PB, plus a small old one. It started a new one right away, and now it is taller than the previous PB. It's doing great!
This one is kept on the bottom of my orchid bench, which has a 60% shade cloth. I'm keeping it in the company of phals, but it does get a good dose of direct sunlight around 9 am. Days are almost always near 90 F or above, sometimes nearing 100, and nights aren't dropping below 65. Gets rain when it comes, worm tea occasionally and fertilizer once a month. It is potted in a coconut coir and fir bark mix, something I plant most of my small or thirsty plants in.

It's gotta be the warmth and brightness that these little boogers love.

Hooray! My Cathy Beck has started a spike. It is tiny, so I will post pics once it gets just a little bit bigger. Also, a tiny new growth is also starting at the base.
And thank you for the compliments everybody. I do think it is really benefiting from the Virginia summer.
