my update

Sorry that I havent been able to keep current lately. I had settlement on a new house 2 days after receiving my order from Jerry (4/16/08). I lost 2 leaves from my Cathy Beck. One was from the rubber band. the smaller pb had only one leaf and that came off right away and another leaf which dried up and fell off looked like it was bent at some point. Not sure if it was during packaging for shipment for if my cat was tightwalking on my stand when I wasnt home. No biggie, Its doing good and theres a small pb coming up now. My other two orchids that I ordered with it are both well. They all have new growth.

this is my new orchid room. Previously they were in a south facing window sill in a mobile home (my mortgage & lot rent was less then a 2 bedroom apt here in allentown and I had land to garden so Im not ashamed. It helped me save for a house). Its now in a room with both an east and south double window. Im going to build a new shelving unit for it. Im thinking a 3 shelf unit thats 48" L x 16" wide with wire shelves, wooden framing. I'll have to stain it to match the woodwork in the house. Enjoy the pics.

Yay!!!! Good for you! I love you back yard and I'm so glad you have more room and good windows for your orchids. I bet those plants will perk right up with your love and their new place! I live with my grandma which is kinda embarrassing but I'm doing it to save money so I can have my own place. Yay I'm so happy for you!!!!!! :-)

With the size of that chiminea (?sp) you'll be able to warm the whole yard.

Really NICE!!!! I can't wait to have a real home again someday.....
Your orchid window looks great! We will be expecting great things from you!
I have the same 2 Catts. as you, also. Can't wait for blooms! Congratulations on your new home. Nice yard for your little girl to play in, too!

My two Cattleya hybrids from Jerry- Blc Laura Bush 'Carmela' & Lc. Chyong Guu Swan 'Ruby Lip' AM/OSROC are doing great. The new growth is going well. Cathy Beck lost her leaves as I posted in a different thread but the PB's are firm and green.

I also got sunburned yesterday while installing, filling & landscaping a preformed pond (110 gal.). Soon I'll be able to get the goldfish from our last pond out of the tank & get some real fish.

Great home and a super yard!! Best wishes for many happy years there.
I especially like the Lc. Chyong Guu Swan 'Ruby Lip'.
I found a link with a pic of the bloom. I love the color contrast.
One more for my wish list!!
