I'm entering as an intermediate - I tend NOT to mess with the cloths so I don't think I'll do well but I'm experimenting with different compositions. This first one is one of my NOID dend's with a garden statue I have on the table. ![]() Larger image is here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/jirel/2423853788/sizes/o/

Phrag Sedenii Phrag Sedenii was first made in 1873 by John Seden of Veitch and Sons. It was only the second successful slipper cross ever made. It is out of Phrag schlimii by Phrag longifolium. In those days each repeat of a cross got a different grex name so synonyms for Sedenii are Leucorrhodum, Porphyreum, Tenellum, and Weidlichianum. This a small flower. The pictured one is 2.75 inches tall by 3.25 inches wide as it stands. Intermediate entry ![]()

Cattleya mossiae Cattleya mossiae. First discovered by Europeans in 1836 in Venezuela and bloomed in Otterpool England by Mrs. Moss.First published by Willian Jackson Hooker in Curtis's Botanical Magazine in 1836. Known as "Flor de Mayo" in it's native country where it is the national flower. In his original description Hooker wrote that mossiae is "the most magnificent of all orchidaceous plants". I think I agree. Intermediate entry #2 ![]()
