Wow Fred, that Blc Charles Mitaruara 'Kaleidascope' doesn't say "look at me", it SCREAMS "you'd better look at me".
Love it!

Indeed wonderfull blooms! I posted picture of mu Den Red Emperor 'Prince', one of the first chids that have bloomed for me... I know that it can't be compared with your wonderful plants but that is not some very serious competition... Just the way to improve our photograph skills.

Jirel, as long as you are using your own images it is pretty much up to you how you present them.

Patticake, I love your composition with you Phal Flare Spots against the rain drops on the window, well done. Worth enlarging and having it mounted.

Just a reminder to folks that there are 3 different skill levels in the photo competition so please don't think that because you might not have the experience or equipment you're not good enough to participate. My only equipment is an ordinary digital camera and a piece of black cloth that I use for a background. That's it. And my only experience is the pics I've taken since I got the camera.

So don't be shy. Enter your pics! I like to think we view the photo comp just like the rest of the forum, that we're here to grow, teach and learn together!

Well, I tried for two hours to post a URL for my contest photos until I realized that you must make 5 posts before being allowed to reference a URL source. So.. this is my 4th....sorry to bore you, I just need to post one most time.

Thanks

Oh, Anton- I sure wish I could take credit since I LOVE that photo also! But Cupcake is the one who entered it. We're both "cakes" so I can understand the mix-up! I think it's really beautiful.

All the pics. this month are beautiful. I'm sure glad I'm not the one deciding.

Aleksa- I love your photo- It's beautiful. If that's one of the first to bloom for you, then you're on your way to great things!

WOW, no offense to any of the other intermediate entries, but Bird Song Farm's entry is really something else. I would frame that and put it on my wall.

Message for Mayres

MAYRES
Your picture of NOID Miltoniopsis is a dead ringer for my Miltonia Renee Komoda ''Pacific Clouds.'' Mine came labeled from a nursery in Hawaii.

Perhaps you have a name for yours now!!

Take a look here:

Thanks so much Al! Does yours put up lots of spikes? I have had this plant for three years and each spring it has 5-6 spikes! Very fragrant as well.

I just got it this spring. It had three spikes and is just going out of blossom now. So I will be able to better answer your question next year if I don't kill it first!

I am just waiting for the Secret Judges to contact me and the winners will be announced.

WOW ! Who'd be a judge with the quality of these entries ??????

Most of the Intermediate entries were of Open standard, glad I didn't enter this month.

Bet the poor judge is exhausted trying to separate the winners.

Can't wait to see who the winners are...........
