December Photography Competition Entries

Please use this thread to post your entries in this month's photo competition.

Each member may enter up to three (3) photos each month.

When posting your entries please be sure to indicate:

Your skill level (novice, intermediate, open) for all entries. Entries which do not have a skill will not be judged.
The name of your plant or in the case of special effects and floral art photos, the name of your photo. If your orchid is tagless, use an indication such as "noid" (e.g. Cattleya noid).

Awards are given in 6 categories:

Best Photo ** "Novice"
Best Photo ** "Intermediate"
Best Photo ** "Open"
Best Photo ** "Orchid Species"
Best Photo ** "Best Floral Display or Floral Art" - Floral display or floral art include any kind of arrangement or staged presentation using orchids. Examples include groupings of orchids, flower arrangements (live or cut), orchid show displays, or orchids photographed with props.
Best Photo ** "Special Effects" - For extreme close-ups and photo manipulation through the application of digital or other effects. Also includes any other images not included in Floral Art.

NOTE: Photos are judged by a "secret Judge" chosen each month by the forum administrator. You need only indicate your skill level and the name of your photo. When judged, the secret judge will automatically consider all entries in all skill levels for categories 4, 5, & 6. For example, the judge will automatically consider all species photographs in all skill levels for the Best Species Photo category.

Please use this thread for photos only. Discussion or comment posts will be removed from this thread, however you are more than welcome to "thank" members for the entries but clicking on the "Thank" button.
