WANTED: Clay pellets used in hydroponics

I think the title sums it up. I want to try this stuff out, but I don't want to buy a whole entire 3 gallon bag for 24 dollars. I just want a little bit of it to see what it is like. I have all sorts of potting media I could trade for. (coir, coconut long fibers, sphagnum moss, charcoal etc.

I guess I am sort of collecting potting different potting mediums to see what I like best and what works for me.

More than willing to pay for it to.

I was going to buy some tree fern fiber, but the min. order was 15 bux and shipping was 10.

Or if someone knows where to buy some in smaller quantities, it would be lovely. I think I would like the half inch size so I can use it in the bottom of my pots for drainage if I don't like it.

repotme.com has scoops of aliflor for purchase. That's where I get mine from, bc I didn't want a huge amount of it when I first started using it.

Any good Hydroponics store should willing to provide you with some at no charge.I routinely get samples of new products to try for free at Simply Hydroponics a local store.

missann: You can P.M. Jerry Meola.. I purchased a small bag and medium size from him with an orchid order. He's always quite frugal with shipping charges, so it won't cost you much.

I agree with Sharyn... Jerry will keep the shipping costs down and will charge a reasonable price.
