| Hi dionysus, Just a note, Masdevallias and Draculas are completely different genera. What kind of growing conditions do you have? the orchids on your list encompass an extreemely wide range, culturally and some of these are not well suited to growing in ones living room like many of us do. The key to amassing a successful collection is to choose plants that you know will do well in your conditions. I'm sure you don't wish to find yourself killing off lots of orchids because you can't provide the culture they require. None of us want that. We'd be happy to make recommendations on what plants will do well for you if you tell us what your growing conditions are like. It's also important that you do your research and understand the cultural needs of the plants you obtain. Cheers

| yep, i have all the info i need on the orchids i have listed. my house has several different heats. the upstairs is always about 5-10 degrees warmer than the basement, and i have a small green house that would be best for warmer orchids. a masdevillia would do fine in my basement, where as my pahp is fine in the greenhouse or just up stairs. i have plenty of creative resources to make any environment for the orchid. i guess that i misunderstood. the dracula is related to the mas. but it has downward facing inflorscences. but either one is fine on the list. |
