| Here is one I got from the Santa Barbara Orchid Estates 2 or three years ago. Well, 11-04 and 11-05. This is probably the first one. http://www.pbase.com/schnitz/image/82367462 Its about as dark as the original one I got a little earlier as a mature plant from someone at the San Diego Orchid Show. http://www.pbase.com/schnitz/image/30700875 Are these considered the lowland variety? Actually, I've been looking for a seedling of the lighter variety.

| Cynthia those are beautiful! I have two Maxima and their pseudobulbs are much taller and more slender. Their flowers are lighter. While I really enjoy them I would like to add the smaller darker variety to my collection. I will check Santa Barbara... Thanks so much! |
