Wanted orchid seed

Hi everyone

I am looking to beg borrow or steal (buy that is! ) orchid seed.

I am after species mainly but would not be adverse to selected hybrids.

If you also have some special parents and are interested in supplying seed from these we could also come to some sort of surrogate payment arrangement. or even a royalty system on seedlings sold.

Thanks for all those sites and though i already know about them and have bought seed from some of them.

What i am looking for is more selected parents and different varieties of species.

Also things that are rare and unusual so i can sell the ones i dont have room for and pay for my addiction!

Talking hmm..

I was just here to try and figure out what to do with the seed pods growing on some encyclia tampensis (likeley difficult to come by in OZ) I have just transferred from a friends Garden. How can I make use of the seeds? I would be happy to send you some if it is legal and practical. I thought maybe I should just cut them off but who doesn't enjoy propogation?

Ok

Just tell me what to do, there is still a bit left.
All the other pods were sprinkled about in an (weak but hopeful) attempt to repopulate this native. I figure I hit nearly 40 happy old lichen and moss bearing swamp tree's with some dust and wished them luck!

No worries!

The deed has already been done. As you were a bit slow in responding. I would hope some of my efforts may take, I did my best. (it will be very hard to find those trees again)

P.S. In a past post I mentioned wild collecting and imagine a few people may have been quite offended by that. Be relieved to know this took place on private property where you may now view watermelon growing about as far as the eye can see. I used to love that place.. (There were Fl panthers there too [30 something left supposedly]) almost everything farmed in Florida could be bought from desperately poor South american or carribean farmers; "narco-terrorists", instead we subsidize this bulldozing.

Politics and orchids don't mix.

Oh,.. any chance somebody might send me an aussi native suited to my subtropical climate? Or ecuador natives . Who wants a city slicker plant? hehe..

Thats not really wild collecting its really salvage and rescue of doomed plants.
I will set pods on my neglected Aussie natives this year if you would like some seed from them.
