Amongst the bad there is good

After I spoke to my dad this am and found out they are ok I ordered 3 Paphs from Parkside Orchid Nursery.

They are:
armeniacum-coming in with a bud
godefroyae
niveum

Can't wait for them to get here.

Can anyone explain:
Parvisepalum= delenatii and armeniacum
Brachypedilum= godefroyae and niveum
Paphiopedilum= villosum and spicerianum(i have a hybrid of these two)

And they are all suppose to be classified as Paphipedilum?

Thanks in advance

They are all Paphiopedilum. The Parvi, Brachy, etc. are sub genus. Check out this site.

Parvisepalum and Brachypedilum are subgenera of Paphiopedilum, so yes, they are all paphs.

Also there is a section of the genus Paphiopedilum which is also Paphiopedilum which is the section your villosum and spicerianum fall into.

Jay and Kip,
I found a website that has them all separated into groups and I was wondering how they could all be Paphs when under the groups listed paphs(I hope that makes sense).
Paphiopedilum Primary Hybrids is the website.
Thank you both for the information I appreciate it.

Kevin,
We were both writing at the same time.
now it makes sense, a subgenera called Paphiopedilum.
Thank you Kevin.

They were delivered yesterday.
They are very healthy plants.
Paph. armeniacum has a bud in the beginning stages.
I can hardly wait.
