Spicerianum finally arrived

Well my long awaited spicerianum arrived today, together with Aspasia Lunata (picture posted in relevant thread).

BUT, I have a problem the plant is actually Spicerianum var.giganteum.

I cannot be annoyed with the grower who sourced this for me as he went to a great deal of trouble to get it for me (and it was quite expensive); Sooooooooo ... if it's ok with you folks, I wouldn't mind continuing anyway and comparing notes along the way.

If there is any objection I fully understand and will bow out gracefully

For the moment then: The plant looks nice and healthy; One fan with an overall leaf span of 10".

Tizzy~ You're fine. You have had a hard time getting these boogers and by the looks of them they are no different than where we're are at on these babies now. Stake your ground and grow!

Yay! Welcome to the project. It looks nice and healthy.

They take on the form of little birds, of lizards, of insects, a man, a woman, sometimes like a clown who excites our laughter. They represent the image of a lazy tortoise, a melancholy toad, an agile, ever-chattering monkey. Nature has formed orchid flowers in such a way that, unless they make us laugh, they surely excite our greatest admiration." Jacob Breynius

Chris, The plant looks good! I'll be curious to see the difference of the gigantium vs. the regular. Cool!!
