Anisa's Aerangis biloba

I got mine today. It is tinny little baby. I noticed that it has lots of black spots on leaves, like pinpricks. I never seen anything like that. Is it infected with something? I will shoot pictures tomorrow.

Question

Got pictures of the plant and spots on leaves. The spots cover entire plant. They are bumpy on a touch. If I would see them on any of my other leaves i would cut them off, but this little baby is covered with spots. Should I be worried? How are yours aerangis biloba?

I believe those black spots are normal - mine has plenty of them as well. Someone could emal oak hills and confirm - they are really good about asking questions.....

Update - soo... mine wasnt doing too good - roots started to shrivel and blacken, I thought it is a time for a repot. I got it out of the pot and guess what fell out?? a giant slug! Giant - as big as the plant itself over an 1" long! Alive! Never seen slug so big. Gross! I couldnt kill it - I thought there might be a chance it will fight back. So i dropped it a kitchen sink and tried to flush it. I had to poke it to get thru the drain! so big it was. Really makes me wonder what it evil plans it was preparing. Get out and swallow my aerangis alive??? Note that i never had this plant outside and dont have (as far as i know) slugs on any other plants.
Anyway i was so grossed out i dint take pic of but i have pic of roots. Many of them are in poor condition. I hope repot help. I will post a pic of new (slug free) pot with my aerangis later.

Yikes! Sounds like a creepy experience. Maybe some root stimulator would help get those roots to grow back.

I feel your pain, but there are quicker ways to dispose of a slug. That sounded like a lingering death. Ouch!

pic perhaps the last one?

Update on my Aerangis biloba - The leaves got longer and bigger and i have another leaf coming!

But as i got hit with pseudomonas or erwina bacterial infection. I cant get it undercontrol and my plants are dying one ofter another. I though i will take pic of my Aerangis biloba as long it is still alive and looks good.

August update - the leaf grew up to 2.5" and another one is coming. I guess my aerangis likes the heat.

Wow it looks great! Good job!
Did you get the other plants under control that were sick and dying? What did you use to treat them?
Thanks

That looks great! Mine are hanging in there also. The mounted one has a new leaf and a couple small roots appearing and the potted one hasn't done quite as much but doing ok.

Thank you all. I am glad both Biloba and Phal intermedia still hanging there and growing!

As far as i can tell Erwinia infection is stopped. I am not sure what did it: I treated all plants with Phyton 27, increased airflow, and rainy weather stopped. It is probably combination of all factors. I did lose several seedlings and larger plants lost their new growth But is is all good now and i am keeping my eyes open for any symptoms. That erwinia is fast!!!
