Today I find myself the very excited and clueless new owner of a beautiful green cym. Now what? You know, I work at a flower shop (customer service and sales mostly) and my knowledge of orchids only applies to the CUT variety, but now i have this big beautiful plant and I desperately want to keep it alive.

So tell me, indoors or outdoors? Keep it in one spot, or have a morning location and a night location? And how often should I water it? Should I be fertilizing it on a regular basis, should I be fertilizing it at all?

There is so much info available out there. I will do my best to research old posts and other internet sites. But any advice from you guys would be very much appreciated.

Who knew I'd get so excited over an orchid? But, here I am...
