| narrow leafed phalaenopsis: not enough light? I hope you green thumbs out there can help my poor orchid.
It has three of its original leaves which have the typical shape, but the most recent three (which have all grown within the past year and a half) are all very long and narrow.
I used to fertilize it with a weak solution of 30-10-10 each time I watered it, but haven't fertilized for 5 months during which time it hasn't done anything except grow a few air roots. I have it on my brightest windowsill, but the leaves are still medium-to-dark green. Might a lack of light have something to do with it?
I would love for it to bloom again. Its original inflorescence was a spectacular display which looked more like an orchid topiary than a flower spike. Thanks in advance for any help you would offer. |
