Old flower stems of phalenopsis can be induced to produce keikis or small plant-lets by swabing with kieki fix. ie a cream like lanolin which contains a chemical like BAP{6 Benzile Amino Purine ]. If you are aware of this material in the market , just scrub the old scape or small leaf like covering in the old flowered stem with a blade or scruber
with out damaging the eyelet in side . Apply the paste[keiki fix] lightly with a swab and wait for some days, the eyelet will swell and produce a small plant, and grow roots. After the plant has sufficient root length and one or two leaf, remove the plant with roots by a gentle twist and plant in spagnumn moss ion 50% shade in a humid place.
