So, my husband and I were driving home last night and we almost hit a fox. The fox is OK, but I had an orchid sitting in the back seat, snuggled in with other things so that it wouldn't fall over. When we saw the fox, my husband slammed on the brakes and everything in the back seat smashed into the back of his seat. The orchid and the bark were thrown out of the pot. The roots were fine, but the stem was broken above the last node before the first flower. When we got home, I put everything back together for the night and soaked some bark. Today, I repotted it and cut the stem right above the last node before the first flower. Did I cut it right? Should it be closer to the node? Does it need to be cut in an angle like that? Any suggestions would be great! Thanks!
