I hope folks won't consider this a hi-jack but since Pat asked me about growing conditions for my P. Naples Nights I thought I'd show you where phals seem to do well in Maine for the summer time. They receive East/Northeast light, the roof is covered with opaque white fiberglass panels.
The P. Naples Nights plants are on the large piece of cork in the 'looking left' picture. Also in that picture you will notice a stand in the corner. A second stand has been added and these hold my phal seedlings, many of which are very hard to find crosses. I hope to get some blooms from them next year.
These pics were taken the day of set up and
at least 2 more dozen phals have been added with the over-flow still in the house.......(I'm a very sick man!)
