Hi there! Im sorry to hear about your mother, but I am sure she is very happy with the concern you are taking for her orchid.

OK..well, I am also new at this and needed to repot my orchid for the first time. I am one of those people that wants to make sure I do everything right and I like step-by-step instructions that not only are simple but also explain everything.

After looking on the internet through tons of web pages, I found one that helped me SO MUCH! It includes large pictures with each step so that you can see what is being done. From the beginning to the end.

I am positive this will help you with repotting. And if you need tools, pots, media, fertilizer ect. this site has it all at reasonable prices. It is where I ordered my plastic pots, fert. and moss from. They even let you create your own potting mixture if you wanted.
