Phals love constant slight airflow over them. CONSTANT. This prevents fungus from growing and also helps dry out the medium to prevent rot. If you were to put a Phal near a doorway, especially in bud, you have a chance of blasting the buds. (Sudden drafts, especially cool ones, will cause this. ) Phals are picky and don't like sudden changes. As for lighting, Patticake is right. Bright, indirect, diffused light is the best for Phals.

I agree with u i was thinking of my old orchid, personnaly my orkid gets wind from a fan that gets turned on all night long but like u said its
slight but partly constant, & again personally my chid's not a fan of indirect sunlight, my last phal was in indirect sunlight & died caus of 2 much sun & was... burnt but besids that i totaly agree with u.

but I live in canada & its REALY HOT in summer & sometimes even winter & theres not much moister & wind were i live but sometimes we get thoughs storms but not that much, anyway i do agree with u.
