I honestly have not had good results even with rooting from the one I have. I can't remember what kind it is but it is a white powder. I found that it dried up wherever I put it. I don't know if I used it right either though. I have been thinking about getting some of that keiki paste stuff. One of the other members (can't remember who though) had produced a keiki for a coworker on a spent spike with it i think the thread was keiki ready for coworker. Maybe you could use it for rooting if you mixed it with water but from the research I have done you can buy the keiki paste or make it using lanolin cream from the breast feeding supply company Lanosh (you can get it at walmart) and something else but I don't know what it is
I did some google searches an found other forums where people were talking about home made keiki paste but had no idea where to find the other ingredient theyr were using. I hope that helps a little, lol, I bet someone else can tel you more or if they have had good results with schultz's roting hormone. For dendrobium I think you can cut old canes and sphag n bag or do it in sand to produce keikis.
