I need some "tropical" advice

Hi everyone,

I'm wondering if this is normal due to the season or can someone please give me some idea of what is going on. I live in a tropical area and would like the advice of experienced people in the same areas, say florida or singapore or just anyone who would know about this behavior. All my plants right now (one of each): oerstedella, pescatoria, elleanthus, oncidium, brassia, ansellia, miltoniopsis, terrestrial vanda and prhag are sending out new growths, not keikis, but actual leaves and/or pseudobulbs but no flowers or spikes. The only one with flowers at the moment is a prhagmipedium (which is in the last stage of an amazingly long blooming period for that spike).

They are all layered according to lighting needs, outdoors, in a shaded area, which gets southern sun in the morning till up to noon. Mi meter is indicating humidity between 70's and 80's all the time, and i water and fertilize them accordingly.

I'm kind of wondering why when i go to stores or other places i see some of the same ones i have, but they are blooming and mine are not. Maybe i'm a bit melodramatic. But any advice would be highly appreciated, as to why my plants are behaving this way.

thanks,
manuel
