| I am not happy with what I see. You are not going to like what I say, but it is to help you not make the same mistakes again, and with a little luck you may be able to save it. This plant is in distress from being drowned !!!!
SH involves the roots NOT being saturated in water, the water should be in the bottom of the container with the roots above it, but not drowning in it. The plant should get its moisture from the clay balls not the water.
What you think is new growth is actually the plant's way of trying to survive by creating a new growth to keep itself going.
The dropped leaves also is a sign that the plant is distressed I am afraid.
You need to use less water, and only enough to keep the balls damp, NOT saturated.
