In Singapore we are smack bang on the equator.... we do not need greenhouses.
What we need is to make sure we do not over fertilize...AND do not place the orchids in too much sunlight.
Otherwise we have everything else that is perfect.
I think i am going to start this out here in Singaproe and see how it goes. WE'll just collect dead/dying orchids from people who buy them when it flowers and throw it out back when the flowers have died. You'll be surprised with the number of flowers discarded after the season's festivities.
WE'll nurture these plants back to life and then "plant" them on trees in the neighbourhood. Just tie them to trees and fences etc...
We just need to build awareness... and if this does it.... we could be on a winner... not for us... but for the orchids!
