Hi everyone!
My Phal. Mini Mark 'Holm' that I recieved from Oak Hill was in bloom when I recieved it with 2 spikes. When the flowers died, I cut one down that yellowed, and the other produced one more flower in April, more than a month since the others fell off. The little cute bloom was damaged about 2 weeks ago (by me), and it dropped. I wasn't sad about it, as I knew the plant needed to have some grow time. When I recieved it, it had been freshly potted so I did not repot, and it was scarred up on the leaves like it had been in a battle (I think from the shipping as they were fresh marks). So the last spike yellowed and I cut it off. This sits on my desk, so I look at it all the time. A couple of days after the spike was cut I noticed the nub, and I took a pick of it a week ago (it is growing fast). It also produced new root growth out of this yucky looking brown root piece that I thought was dead, a new leaf is growing, and yesterday I noticed another nub, probably root, by the bottom leaf. The thing is, I don't know what the big weird nub is. It's folded in half, and looks like it could be a spike or a basal keiki? Thought it would be interesting to document it's progress, and to get some opinions. This little plant is not on steroids, but it thinks it is. The first pic is from 6/4, and the second is from 6/10. Opinions greatly appreciated
