| I, like Anna, have brought my first Phal home and thought I succeeded in killing it within one month. It has two tall stems, each having 3 beautiful flowers and one bud. One stem dropped all its flowers in one week. The other stem kept its flowers for another two weeks. Now I have two tall stems with nothing on them. I was in more shock than my Phal. My leaves look great but they are the color of the green on this page. I have another leaf forming on the top of the larger leaves so I know the plant is not dead yet! I did some reading and thought that I should cut back the stems above a node but below the last blooms. I did this and within a couple of days I have one small shoot forming on only one stem. Any suggestions on what is happening? Is this a cycle my plant will go through? I am that new that I know nothing right now. I better hit the library and study up I guess. |
