| Newbie that needs help I'm a new "mom" to an orchid but have no idea what i'm doing or what kind it is (I believe its a Phalaenopsis). When I first received it, it had 7 beautiful flowers but 4 of them have died off after only having it for about 3 weeks. The leaves are still beautiful and firm and the last 3 flowers look very healthy .. is this normal? I don't think i'm overwatering it because I put it in the sink to make sure all water has drained out of the pot. When all the flowers die off, do I have to trim back the stem to get more blooms and if so, how far do I trim it back? Sorry for all the questions and I appreciate any help.
