No actually the water would be more alkaline, having a higher PH. These orchids don't take kindly to it at all. I watered mine with bottled water because of this factor. Also your corms are probably now at the transition stage where a lot of growers tend to lose these little precious babies to rot. I just lost mine here a few days ago.

There is a thread on here called "The Most Beautiful Terrestial Orchid". It's about Habenaria radiata (now Pecteilis radiata).

I'd suggest continuing with the filtered water and maybe placing them back outside. Tell your hubby to back off this time or you'll hose him down. LOL.
