Yes, of course I brought them back to the mainland, but most of them died because I put them in an extra room in the house that we don't use, and they were out of sight, so they were out of my mind, so I never watered them and that was that. I had about 30 or so, along with some plumeria cuttings that I never could get to root. I only have about 7 of the original ones which include a vanda neostylus lou sneary which smells like vanilla and smells up the whole room. I have a dendrobium (the first orchid I ever owned) It is not a nobile type, it has purple flowers that last 5 months. I bought it in bloom for 5 bux at the swap meet near pearl harbor and the flowers lasted for 5 months after I bought it. Um...I have a few paphs. and a phalenopsis (did not get in HI). I also have a onc. sharry baby that I got from my orchid club, and I have some others that I am too lazy to remember right now. |
