Found this cattelya at a temporary roadside stall. But it came without a tag. Does anyone know what type it is?
I'm also showing a close-up of the roots, which are in good shape. Unfortunately, I can see that this orchid has already outgrown its pot, and there's a new shoot on its way that going to be dangling in mid air unless I do something. The potting material is just chunks of wood, which the roots have completely encased. With the extensive root system of this orchid, I can't see how I'm gonig to get it out of the pot, without damaging the roots. Can I just put the whole thing (basket and all) into another one that is slightly larger and count this as a repot?
Any advice appreciated
