| Along with mechanical damage, which is very well what could have happened here,
a Phals leaves will split if it's not getting sufficient humidity. I have gotten a couple
of Phals from a local food line store 2 years ago and the majority of the leaves were
split. I also got one from WalMart with the same condition. It is sometimes difficult
to give them the needed humidity in places like this. All of the new leaves grew without
any splits on them in my growing area. |
