Solay, I have a Phal that's doing that too! I bought it from a scratch & dent table. It was in bad shape when I got it. It's just now starting to show new growth, but about a month after I rescued it, one of the leaves just split!
It doesn't look very nice, but the plant still appears to be healthy.
I hope someone can explain why, I don't want a repeat performance!
