Lets, see if I understand correctly, you keep your paph dry, in the dark, and in a place where there's no fresh air? At risk of sounding blunt, this sounds like a recipe for disaster. On a few occasions I have heard speakers say that most Paphs are comfortable in conditions that most of us are comfortable in. Comfortable nights in the 60s, days in the 70s and 80s, lots of nice fresh air, just enough to drink so that we're never thristy but never waterlogged, light that's bright enough to work and live in but not so much we get sunburn. I've often thought that sounds like practical advice.
Get a good Paph culture sheet, read it, take it to heart, and put it into practice. Paphs like to be kept gently and evenly moist at all times, they love lots of fresh breeze and air, and while they are one of the lower-light orchids, they won't respond well to being in a consistently dark place.
I suspect the measures you are taking to prevent the leaf from yellowing is actually causing it to yellow. It's also true that like all plants everywhere, paphs occasionally will loose an old leaf.
