Welcome,
In orchid growing, patience is the key word. Most are slow to move from spike to bloom. The phals that I have sometimes take 2 months & longer before the blooms actually open. In the end you will be rewarded with a long period of flowers.

Not to dash your hopes about your plant spiking, but keep an eye on the nubs. They may be new roots starting. Spikes and roots look similar in the very early stages. It won't be long before you find out.
