Hmmm, I thought I posted, but I don't see it. I will post again. I am starting to lean toward species in general, but I would love to have as many Phal. species as possible.
Here's my list:
Phal. amboinensis
Phal. bellina
Phal. equestris (peloric)
Phal. stuartiana
Phal. Penang Girl (primary hybrid violacea x venosa)
Phal. gersenii (natural hybrid violacea x sumatrana)
I have my eye on a few, I have looked for a good pulchra for a while (I was inspired by Antons croaked pulchra), lobii, violacea v. alba, sumatrana..........I want them all . I am slowly collecting, my goal is to get quality plants, and not just to buy whatever I see first. Of course going to school and raising kids means that saving for a long time for some things is in order lol.

"If nature ever showed her playfulness in the formation of plants, this is visible in the most striking way among the orchids. They take on the form of little birds, of lizards, of insects, a man, a woman, sometimes like a clown who excites our laughter. They represent the image of a lazy tortoise, a melancholy toad, an agile, ever-chattering monkey. Nature has formed orchid flowers in such a way that, unless they make us laugh, they surely excite our greatest admiration." Jacob Breynius |
