Your pot looks fine to me. Just be sure that you have the plastic pot in something heavy enough to offset the weight of that fabulous display of flowers
The problem with a larger pot is that all that medium tends to hold more water than the plant can use in a given period of time This could lead to root rot, so you might want to check out the skewer method for watering orchids on the forum search tab.
This should enable you to keep that gorgeous bunch of blooms and repeat the same thing next year--Good growing
