Patlee, I know a friend that moved in to a new home and had her husband tear all the roses out of the yard. She can't deal with the thorns.
Plus she hates any flowers with spots or patterns on it. Says it looks alive and scares her. So orchids are out. How she became my friend, I don't know.

Orchid girl. Yes, I love all flowers really. The only thing with roses is I have scratch marks from the thorns all the time. It's a painful hobby. I would love to see your roses.
One day I need to sneak over to a house in my neighborhood and take pictures of the roses they have. It's amazing! I mean tons and tons of them filling up her front yard. They look perfect. No faded ones or spotted leaves. Wonder what the secret is. Mine is always battling powdery mildew, black spot, and rust. How about you? Any problems?
