Probably nothing to worry about. Sometimes a leaf just aborts. But your plant looks light it may not be getting enough light. Reedstemmed Epis will take very high light. What happens with low light is that they will not bloom until they get very tall, as they need more leaf area to support blooms. The loss of the leaf may be related to the plant being a little weak from lack of light. This plant needs direct light shaded with a filmy curtain or venetian blinds turn to give about 50% light or more (when the sun shines, noting where you are). You may even be able to put the plant outside in full morning sun, or full sun anytime it is cool. I southern Cal. we grew these out doors all year.
